Former Rubin defender Maciej Rybus spoke about the reasons for his departure from the Kazan team.
This summer, the 35-year-old Polish footballer left Rubin after his contract expired.
— They simply did not renew the contract. It was a bad period, I played few matches because of a knee injury. It was only at the end of the championship that he recovered. So I have no reason to be offended by the club, I understand everything. They were afraid to sign the contract and me to get hurt.
— Is it the management’s decision, not the coach’s?
— I think so, it’s the club’s decision, the coach has nothing to do with it.
— How did you like working with Rakhimov?
— Good impressions. I already worked with him in Grozny. He treats me well, I treat him well. He’s a good coach,” RB Sport quotes Rybus.
