Konkov served as president of the FFU from September 2012 to January 2015
Former football player, coach, and ex-president died at the age of 76 Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) Anatoly Konkov.
During his playing career, Konkov defended the colors of Shakhtar Donetsk (from 1968 to 1974) and Dynamo Kyiv (from 1975 to 1981). As a member of the USSR national team, Anatoly Konkov, playing as a midfielder, won silver at Euro 1972, and also won bronze at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal.
Subsequently, as a coach, Anatoly Konkov headed a number of football clubs – Tavriya, Shakhtar, Vorskla, Alchevsk Steel. For a short time he coached the Ukrainian youth team (1993), as well as the national team (1995).
Konkov’s last job was as president of the Football Federation of Ukraine, where he worked from September 2012 to January 2015. In 2019, at the 22nd Congress of the FFU, it was decided to rename it to the UAF – Ukrainian Football Association.
