Russian national team given to the football team Pakistan play a friendly match in October, but was refused, reports Pakistani television channel Geo.
According to the source, the costs of the match, initially scheduled for October 11 in Russia, were to be borne by the Russian Football Union (RFU). However, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) refused, citing lack of preparation time.
It should be noted that the PFF requested the postponement of the friendly match to November, but the RFU rejected this proposal.
At the end of September, the RFU announced an expanded composition of the Russian national team for the October training camp: it included 42 players; The training camp is scheduled to begin on October 7 in Novogorsk, but at the moment there is no information with whom the Russian team will play friendly matches.
Since 2022, Russian clubs and national teams have been suspended from participation in tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA due to the situation in Ukraine.
