Ingulets continues to be the only club in the UPL that does not know the taste of victory in the 2024/25 season
Head coach Ingulets Vasily Kobin commented on the away draw with Carpathians (0:0) in the 9th round match UPL.
“Am I happy with the result? Generally speaking, yes, I liked the game. There were many moments: both at our gate and next to the Carpathian gate. Today the players were let down by the execution. This may have been affected by weather conditions. Considering all the events that took place on the field, we are satisfied with the draw. This is a fair result. Perhaps Karpaty were a little closer to victory thanks to the penalty.”
“Do I think that today we gained one point and not lost two? All conditions must be taken into account. If the goalkeeper saves the penalty in the 82nd minute, then we can assume that Karpaty were closer to victory. If we had scored first, everything would have turned out differently. Both teams played quality football. There were a lot of shots, crosses, and the goalkeepers and defenders had to work a lot. I think the audience should be happy with the football. They didn’t score, but… There is such a factor as skill. There is no way without him. The players did not realize many opportunities.”
Ingulets continues to be the only club in the UPL that has not yet tasted victory this season. Vasily Kobin’s team has 5 draws in 9 matches played.
Let us remind you that Ingulets played all these 9 matches away due to problems with the commissioning of the new club stadium in Petrov. In the UPL standings, Vasily Kobin’s team is in last, 16th place.
Ingulets will play his next match on October 20 away against LNZ.
