The Gunners conceded first, but scored three goals in response
Arsenal beat on home field Southampton in the 7th round match English Premier League – 3:1.
In the first half, the Gunners had the advantage and launched 13 shots at the opponent’s goal, but Mikel Arteta’s team failed to score a goal.
After the break, the visitors surprised the Londoners and took the lead thanks to a goal from Cameron Archer. Arsenal quickly came back through the efforts of Kai Havertz.
Before the end of the second half, the Gunners scored twice more. Gabriela Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, who also had two assists in today’s match, scored the goals.
Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko was not included in Arsenal’s bid for Southampton. He continues to recover from his injury.
Arsenal are in third place in the Premier League, one point behind leaders Liverpool. Southampton suffered their sixth defeat and are in penultimate position in the standings.
In the next round on October 19, Arsenal will play away against Bournemouth, and Southampton will host Leicester.
