The Left Bank coach admits that his team has problems breaking out of defense, but is pleased that his players did not miss Kolos
Head coach Left Bank Vitaly Pervak commented on the away draw with Kolosom (0:0) in the 9th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“After the match I have only positive emotions. We got one point on the road against a good team. Kolos has many qualified football players and a good coaching staff. We prepared for this game, we knew who we would play against. But we had problems getting out of defense. We have something to work on.”
“I can say from the game that I’m glad we didn’t concede. In this match we did not play well in attack. We will still have to suffer a little, there will be no other way – we are debutants. I wanted the players to play passing games so as not to lose the ball in simple situations. But from match to match we have very serious opponents. It’s important not to make mistakes at your own goal so as not to help the opposing team.”
“Weather? Yes, it affected the players, it was more difficult to handle the ball, but both teams felt the effects of the rain. The mood after the game was positive, the game was for six points. Today I told the players that the strategic task for today is not to lose, because Kolos and I are neighbors in the table. We continue to work and look only forward!”
Let us remind you that for the Left Bank, the draw in Kovalivka was the first of the season – in the previous eight rounds, Pervak’s team won two victories and six defeats. In the standings, the UPL newcomer is in 14th position, with 7 points scored.
In the next round of the UPL, Left Bank will face Polissya on the road on October 19.
