The Rossoneri missed the chance to return to the top three of Serie A
Fiorentina beat on home field Milan in the seventh round Serie A – 2:1.
The Violets missed the opportunity to open the scoring in the first half; Moise Kean missed the penalty, hitting the post. Later, Yasin Adli did seal the visitors’ gate.
The Rossoneri responded with their two failed penalty kicks. Theo Hernandez did not score before the break, and early in the second half Tammy Abraham failed to beat David De Gea. Christian Pulisic still managed to win one goal back. But later the hosts managed to snatch victory thanks to a goal from Albert Gudmundsson.
Milan missed the chance to return to the top three in Serie A and are in sixth place with 11 points. Foiorentina has 10 points and is in 11th place.
In the next round, the Violets will meet Lecce on the road on October 20. Milan will host Udinese on October 19.
