Leroy Sane’s current contract with Bayern expires at the end of this season
Bavaria is in talks with the winger Leroy Sane on extending the contract until 2028.
Sane’s current agreement with the club runs until June 30, 2025.
Some Premier League clubs are reported to be monitoring the situation. They want to sign Sane as a free agent next summer if Leroy fails to agree a contract extension with Bayern.
Leroy Sane already had experience playing in the Premier League – from 2016 to 2020, he defended the colors of Manchester City. In June 2020, the winger moved to Bayern for 45 million euros, signing a five-year agreement with them. In July it was reported that Sane wanted to stay in Bayern and sign a new contract with them.
Sane missed the start of this season due to injury, and after returning to the game he never appeared on the field in the first team of Bayern. The 28-year-old winger has only four substitute appearances, after which he managed to score one goal (taking part in the defeat of Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League – 9:2).
Bayern will play their next match on October 19 in the Bundesliga at home against Stuttgart.
