The Polesie winger scored 11 points using the goal+pass system in the UPL 2024/25
Winger Polesia Alexander Nazarenko shared his emotions from his debut call to the location Ukrainian national team for matches Nations League 2024/25 against Georgia And Czech Republic.
“To be honest, I don’t feel like I’m in the national team yet. I’m a little shocked and don’t realize it all yet. How did this happen? There was a Polesie match, after which we were given two days off, and I was going to go home. I already bought tickets to Dnepr, arrived at the station, but then they called me on the phone and said: “It’s cancelled, you’re going to the national team.” My phone almost fell out of my hands. I’m excited right now, but very happy.”
“Did I expect this challenge? I just wanted to demonstrate my level in the Ukrainian championship and gave my all in every match. Started scoring and making assists. Yes, there were rumors that I could get into the reserves of the national team. And so it happened.”
“Now I have two teammates in the national team, and this helps. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by Bogdan Mikhailichenko. Plus Alexey Gutsulyak. It will be easier for me with them.”
“For now, first of all, I want to calm down a little, come to my senses, and from tomorrow I will concentrate on work, work to gain a foothold in the team. I really want this not to be the last challenge.”
Alexander Nazarenko received a call-up to the Ukrainian national team instead of injured Dynamo winger Andrei Yarmolenko.
