Note that the last team in Andres’ career was the Emirates from the UAE, where he recently played the 1000th match of his professional career. Before that, he played for Japanese Vissel Kobe.
But Iniesta achieved his greatest success and recognition at Barcelona, where he spent most of his career. With the Catalans, he became a 4-time winner of the Champions League, three times – winner of the UEFA Super Cup and the same number of times as part of the “blue garnets” he was a successful Club World Cup. Iniesta and his team became champions of Spain nine times and won the Spanish Cup six times.
In the Spanish national team, where he played 141 matches, scored 14 goals and 30 assists, the famous midfielder became European champion in 2008 and 2012 and world champion in 2010, where he scored the winning goal in the final.
Let’s remember that earlier Barcelona brought back the legendary goalkeeper in football, who had already announced his retirement.
