The mentor lasted in his post for just over three months, and under him the team from the Canary Islands never won in 9 rounds
Las Palmas officially terminated the contract with the head coach Luis Miguel Carrion. The mentor only took over the club from the Canary Islands in July; his agreement was valid until the summer of 2026.
For 45-year-old Carrion, working in Las Palmas was the first independent experience in a career at the Primera level. He previously coached Cordoba, Melilla, Numancia, Cartagena and Oviedo.
This season, the specialist and his new team started with a productive draw against Sevilla (2:2). In the third round, Las Palmas managed to stop Real (1:1), and during the meeting the outsider even claimed three points. On September 26, the club from Gran Canaria shared points with Betis (1:1), but suffered defeats in the other six matches of the Examples.
With three points, Las Palmas closes the Spanish Championship standings. In the next round, the outsider will face Valencia away on October 21.
