Araujo has been in the hospital since July, when he was injured in the quarter-finals of the 2024 Copa America against Brazil.
Defender Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo should be back on the field next month.
The Uruguayan is expected to return to action once the November international window ends. Araujo’s return could be either in the La Liga match against Celta Vigo (November 23) or in the Champions League match with Brest (November 26).
Let us remind you that Araujo was injured in mid-July while playing for the Uruguay national team at the Copa America. At that tournament, the 25-year-old defender played in four matches. In the quarter-final match against Brazil (0:0, 4:2 penalties), he was replaced in the 33rd minute. The defender subsequently underwent surgery on his right hamstring.
Last season, 2023/24, Ronald Araujo made 37 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Barcelona will play their next match on October 20 at home against Sevilla.
