The opponent of the former WBC champion has not yet been determined; Thomas LaManna is considered the main candidate
Former WBC world middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) will return to the ring on the undercard of the WBA lightweight belt holder’s fight Gervonta “Tank” Davis (30-0, 29 KOs) and WBA world super featherweight champion Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KOs).
It is reported that Charlo’s fight will take place in the super middleweight limit. Jermall’s opponent has yet to be determined. The main candidate is considered to be Thomas LaManna (38-5-1, 17 KOs).
Jermall Charlo last fought in November 2023, defeating Jose Benavidez Jr. by unanimous decision. The fight took place in the intermediate category up to 163 pounds. Jermall missed the agreed weight for the fight, coming in at 166.4 pounds.
It was previously reported that in May 2024, Charlo committed an accident. He crashed his Lamborghini Urus into another car and then tried to flee the scene. In September, prosecutors charged the boxer with driving while intoxicated.
The fight between “Tank” Davis and Lamont Roach will take place on December 14th. The event will be hosted by the Toyota Center arena in Houston (USA).
