The match of the 4th round of Group 1 Division B took place in Wroclaw Nations League 2024/25 — Ukrainian national team ended in a draw against Czech Republic (1:1).
The scoring was opened in the 18th minute – after a Czech corner, the ball was kicked out to Lukas Cherv, who, from outside the penalty area, accurately fired a low shot into Anatoly Trubin’s goal.
A few moments before the goal was scored, Ukrainian national team winger Alexey Gutsulyak was injured, colliding with Czech captain Tomas Soucek in the penalty area. Gutsulyak eventually left the field on a stretcher, and Alexander Zubkov came on as a substitute.
Ukraine equalized early in the second half, earning a penalty for handball by Ladislav Krejci. The kick from the point was confidently converted by Artem Dovbik.
As a result, a draw with a score of 1:1, thanks to which the Czech Republic became the sole leader of the group, with 7 points. Georgia and Albania have 6 points each, and Ukraine, with 4 points, closes the standings of its quartet.
In November, Ukraine will face two final matches of the League of Nations 2024/25—on November 16 it will face Georgia in Batumi, and on November 19 in Tirana it will face Albania.
