Today, FSK Mariupol players did not go to the game with YUKSA due to a three-month salary arrears
President FSK Mariupol Alexander Yaroshenko spoke about the current state of affairs in the club and the reasons for the players’ boycott of the match of the 12th round of Group B of the First League against YUKSA.
“Why didn’t the team go to the game against YUKSA today? The team did not go to the game due to arrears of wages, which amounted to three months. There is no funding now, the money has run out.”
“Is this due to the fact that the collaboration with the sponsor Kyrrex has ended? No, Cyrrex never paid a salary. I’m out of money, that’s all.”
“Are we looking for investors? Yes, we are looking.”
In September there was information that FSK Mariupol could acquire ex-defender of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Yaroslav Rakitsky. Alexander Yaroshenko said in an interview today that he did not conduct any negotiations with Rakitsky on this subject.
Mariupol is in sixth place in Group B of the First League with 12 points. The next match of Oleg Krasnoperov’s team is scheduled with Dinaz on October 19. Let us remind you that according to the competition regulations, after two absences of a club from a match, the issue of its removal from the tournament will be considered.
