Anatoly kept the goal locked in the match with Georgia, and then became one of the heroes of the meeting with the Czech Republic
Goalkeeper Ukrainian national team Anatoly Trubin commented on the results of his national team in the October matches Nations League 2024/25.
“The game continues. Let’s leave the disappointment behind and get to work. Everything is in our hands in November,” wrote the 23-year-old Benfica player.
Let us remember that in October Ukraine played two nominally home matches – both took place in Poland, in Poznan and Wroclaw. First, the blue-yellows beat Georgia (1:0) with a minimal score, and then lost in peace with the Czech Republic (1:1), having won back during the match.
Trubin played both matches from bell to bell. In the first, he managed to make a wedge-shield, and in the second, he made six saves at once and became one of the two “Lions of the match”, gaining the same percentage of votes (19%) with midfielder Ivan Kalyuzhny.
Ukraine has four points after four rounds and closes the standings of Quartet 1 in Division B. Note that Sergei Rebrov’s team scored all the points in October.
In November, Ukraine will have two final matches of the 2024/25 Nations League. The blue-yellows will face Georgia on November 16 in Batumi, and three days later – Albania in Tirana.
