Ukraine U-21 national team played the final qualifying match for Euro 2025 against Serbiahaving suffered an away defeat with a score of 0:1.
The only goal was scored in the 21st minute by Serbian forward Milan Aleksic.
This match no longer had tournament significance for the Ukrainian youth team, since it had secured entry to Euro 2025 in advance. Unai Melgosa’s team won eight opening qualifying matches, and only in the current October window allowed themselves two misfires. In addition to today’s game against the Serbs, the blue-yellows lost away to their peers from England on October 11 (1:2).
England U-21 itself today defeated Azerbaijan U-21 (7:0), so it won Group F with 25 points. Ukraine U-21, with 24 points, was second. As a result, she was among the top three teams that took second place and received a ticket to the European Youth Championship.
Let us remind you that the final Euro 2025 tournament will take place from June 12 to July 5, 2025 in Slovakia.
