Luis de la Fuente’s team continues to lead their quartet
The 4th round match took place in Cordoba Nations League 2024/25 in division A – Spain confidently outplayed Serbia (3:0).
The scoring was opened already in the opening of the match – in the 5th minute Furies Roja centerback Aymeric Laporte scored.
Spain could have doubled their lead early in the second half, but Alvaro Morata failed to beat Predrag Rajkovic from the 11-meter mark. The Spanish national team forward soon recovered, scoring in the 65th minute.
The score was eventually brought to a major one by Alejandro Baena, who came into the starting lineup today due to the absence of Lamin Yamal. Serbia itself finished the match in the minority after the removal of Strahinja Pavlovich.
Now Luis de la Fuente’s team has 10 points – it leads its quartet in division A. Serbia has 4 points and is still in third place.
Spain will play their next match away against Denmark, while Serbia will be visiting Switzerland. Both fights will take place on November 15.
