Folarin was substituted in the 64th minute of the last match against Rennes (2:1) after a collision with Leo Estigor
Forward Monaco Folarin Balogan out for two months due to a shoulder injury.
The 23-year-old American was injured in the last round match of the French Ligue 1 against Rennes (2:1). Balogan collided with Breton center back Leo Estigord and was replaced in the 64th minute. At the same time, it was Folarin who, during the first half, became the author of what turned out to be the winning goal in the match.
Balogan moved to Monaco in the summer of 2023 for 30 million euros from Arsenal. The forward made a big name for himself while playing on loan for Reims in the 2022/23 season, scoring 21 goals in the French championship.
After seven rounds, the Monegasques lead the French championship standings – they have 19 points, which is two more than second-placed PSG. Monaco also made a successful start in the Champions League, winning against Barcelona (2:1) and a draw against Dinamo Zagreb (2:2).
Monaco will play their next match on October 18 at home against Lille.
