Yuri Moroz’s team scored six points and finished second in their quartet
Ukraine U-17 national team in Genk played the final match of the first round of qualifying for Euro 2025 – she lost with a score of 1:2 Belgium.
The Belgians opened the scoring in the opening match through the efforts of Rene Muteba. Yuri Moroz’s team bounced back in the 59th minute – the goal was scored by Dmitry Zudin, for whom this goal was already the third in this qualifying round.
Ukraine failed to maintain a draw – Belgium snatched victory in the 90th minute through the efforts of 16-year-old Jesse Da Silva.
In global terms, this defeat is not critical for the blue-yellows. Thanks to previous victories over Kosovo (4:2) and Kazakhstan (3:0), Ukraine secured the final second place in the group, and with it access to the next round of qualifying.
The draw for the second round of qualifying for Euro 2025 will take place in December.
