Defender Veres Gakman successfully underwent knee surgery

The player has damaged knee ligaments and meniscus

Defender Veresa Vasily Gakman successfully underwent knee surgery. The player will need about three months to recover, so Gakman will no longer play in 2024.

“The operation was successful. I feel good now, thanks to everyone for their support and help. The most important thing now is proper recovery in order to return to the field as quickly as possible.”

“Regarding the episode when I was injured, I remember that I went at my opponent and wanted to play the ball. And it turned out that he hit the ball first and played with a draw to my left leg. Thus, I twisted my knee. There was a shift in the other direction, I immediately felt that I could not continue the game. The pain was so severe that I couldn’t get up on my own.”

In the 75th minute of the UPL home match against Zorya (2:1), the defender left the field on a stretcher. After a detailed examination, Vasily was diagnosed with damage to the knee ligaments and menisci.

Veres is 11th in the table. In the next round of the Premier League, Oleg Shandruk’s team will play away against Chernomorets on October 20.
