Representatives of Ukraine were not included in the top 25 again
Italian edition TuttoSport published a list of 25 award finalists Golden Boy-2024which is awarded to the best young player in Europe under 21.
Among the contenders for the prestigious award is a 17-year-old prodigy from Barcelona Lamin Yamalhis teammate and same year Pau Kubarsiyoung stars of Real Madrid Arda Guler And EndrickBrazilian Savigno from Manchester City (recent partner of Ukrainians Artem Dovbik and Viktor Tsygankov in Girona), his teammate Rico Lewisyoung leader of PSG Warren Zaire-Emery and other top prospects on the continent.
Let us remind you that two Ukrainians were included in the preliminary list of 100 players. Both represent Lviv Rukh – defender Bogdan Slyubyk and midfielder Evgeniy Pastukh. However, both failed to pass through the harsh selection sieve.

At this stage, the international European Golden Boy jury gets involved in the case. It will determine the winner – the continent’s best young player of 2024, who will be announced in November.
The Golden Boy award has been presented since 2003. At various times, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Paul Pogba and others became its owners. In 2023, the winner of the award was Real Madrid and England national team midfielder Jude Bellingham.
