The North Macedonian national team player has catastrophic problems with playing time
Midfielder Elif Elmas dissatisfied with the small amount of playing time he receives in RB Leipzig. It is possible that he will leave his current club in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder of the North Macedonia national team once shone in Fenerahce. From there he went to Napoli, in four and a half years he grew to become an important player in the team, but never gained a foothold in the team.
Elif moved to Leipzig during last season, but even here he was unable to secure a place in the starting lineup. During the entire second round, Elmas played 16 matches, but all of them were incomplete, and only came out from the first minutes twice.
This season, the Balkan footballer is constantly sitting on the bench – Marco Rose released him for only seven minutes against Atlético (1:2) in the Champions League. It is reported that if the playing time situation does not improve by the end of the year, Elmas will be open to winter retirement.
After six rounds, Leipzig ranks second in the Bundesliga, trailing Bayern only on goal difference. The Bulls will play their next match tomorrow, October 19, away against Mainz.
