The 17-year-old Ukrainian plays for the youth team of Piraeus
Ukrainian youth midfielder Olympiacos Konstantinos Plish said that he wants to play for Ukrainian national team. The 17-year-old midfielder talked with the team’s head coach U-19 Dmitry Mikhailenko.
“I have a desire to play for the Ukrainian national team. But it’s not working out yet. I wanted to see my level compared to the Ukrainian players. If given a chance, I’m ready to grab it. The club wants me to get Greek citizenship.”
“I talked with Dmitry Mikhailenko. We spoke Ukrainian. The coach made a very good impression. His mother spoke to him most. I knew that Dmitry Stanislavovich had previously worked in Cyprus with Paphos. We agreed that I would send my matches to the coach so that he could assess my potential. But this is the coach of the 2006 team, not the 2007 team.”
Plish is an ethnic Ukrainian who was born in Greece. Konstantinos has a Ukrainian passport. The 17-year-old midfielder played one match for Olympiacos U-19 this season.
The Ukrainian U-19 national team, as part of the tournament in Marbella, prepared for the qualification for Euro 2025, which will be held in November. The rivals of Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team will be peers from Kazakhstan, Slovenia and the Netherlands.
