Former footballer CSKA Zoran Tosic believes that the level of football in the Russian Premier League (RPL) is much higher than in the Serbian championship.
Tosic played for CSKA Moscow from 2010 to 2017.
— It is not so important that Russia no longer participates in the European Cups; the RPL is still much stronger than the Serbian championship. Yes, Red Star plays in the Champions League, but the other teams are not performing very well. The best example is the last results, when Backa Topola lost to Astana from Kazakhstan. That says a lot.
