Ukrainian veterans will also take part in the event
Head of Spartabox Faniian Promotions Igor Faniyan confirmed that in January 2025 he will hold a big boxing show in Kyiv with the participation of Arama Faniyana And Viktor Postol.
“We will soon announce our big show, which we will do in January in Kyiv. This will be such a grand event that has never happened in Ukraine before. I can’t say more yet, but the official announcement is just a little while away.”
“Aram Faniyan and Viktor Postol will fight in our January show. I believe that the fact that such boxers box in Ukraine is great for our boxing and our fans. After all, they have the opportunity to box in top shows abroad, but now they delight the Ukrainian public at home. And they don’t just make people happy, but with their battles they collect huge funds to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
“Also, I can announce another interesting moment of the future boxing evening; in January we will have our veterans boxing, who will enter the packed arena of the Sports Palace to face each other in a real boxing fight. This is a big challenge for both us and them, but I am convinced that together we will succeed. These will be veterans who are undergoing rehabilitation in the modern sports and rehabilitation center Tytanovi Rehab, with whom our boxing trainers train every Wednesday.”
In August it was reported that Postol was returning to the ring and would fight in Ukraine. At the same time, the boxer was considering ending his career in case of defeat. Postol said that he will hold a rating match in early 2025.
In his last fight, Victor lost to Elvis Rodriguez in Las Vegas on the undercard of the Frank Martin – Artem Harutyunyan fight in the summer of 2023. In the seventh round, the referee stopped the fight after another successful streak by the Dominican boxer.
WBF junior welterweight world champion Aram Faniyan fought his last fight in August in Kyiv. The Ukrainian defeated Mexican Juan Rodriguez by technical knockout in the 11th round and won the WBO Global belt.
