The coach’s current contract expires in the summer of 2025
Manchester City working on extending contract with head coach Pep Guardiola until 2027.
Pep’s current contract with the club ends in the summer of 2025.
Guardiola was vague about his future at City this summer, saying he was “closer to leaving than staying” and that he certainly had no intention of coaching City for another eight years.
Guardiola has been in charge of Manchester City since 2016. Under the leadership of the Spaniard, the Citizens became champions of England six times, won two FA Cups and four English League Cups, won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, and also won a number of other trophies (18 in total).
Manchester City will play their next match tomorrow, October 23. As part of the Champions League, Guardiola’s team will host Sparta Prague, after which they will play at home against Southampton in the Premier League on October 26.
