Arsenal and Wenger celebrated their first success in the 1997/98 season. Then the team won the Premier League and also triumphed in the FA Cup. And a few months later she also won the Super Cup match.
The Super Cup was also won the following season, but big victories had to wait two years – in the 2001/02 season, Arsenal again achieved a golden double (EPL and FA Cup).
Arsene Wenger became the 3-time champion of England in the 2003/04 season – his Arsenal scored 90 points and did not lose a single match. For the Frenchman, this was the ninth trophy at the head of the London club.
The tenth trophy is the 2004 Super Cup. And Arsenal managed to finish that 2004/05 season with a victory in the FA Cup.
The following years were not easy for Arsenal. The construction of the stadium triggered the decline as a result. The team’s trophy-free streak lasted nine years until the team won the FA Cup in the 2013/14 season.
Two more Cup victories followed, as well as three Super Cups won. But nothing more – the nuclear submarine never submitted to Arsen again.
Just as the main European tournament, the Champions League, did not submit. The closest Arsene Wenger came to victory was in the 2005/06 season, but then lost in the final to Barcelona. In recent years, everything in the Champions League has been too predictable for Wenger’s Arsenal – seven consecutive eliminations in the 1/8 finals.
As for Wenger’s personal trophies, during his time at Arsenal he won the title of Best Manager of the Month from the Premier League 15 times, became the best manager of the season in the Premier League three times, and also won the title of best coach of the year four times.
Wenger also met Shakhtar four times in the Champions League. He won two matches and lost two.
