Real Madrid is in advanced negotiations for the signing of the German defender, who will not renew with Chelsea and leaves the team at the end of the season.
THE Real Madrid could be close to closing the hiring of another reinforcement for the defense. According to information published by the Spanish newspaper “Marca”, the merengue club advanced, after a request from the coach Carlo Ancelottiin the hiring of the defender Rüdiger in the last few days and may end up finalizing the conversations this week.
Despite this, the announcement of the player’s arrival by the merengue club will only happen next season. THE Real Madrid would have intensified contacts with the German player in recent days and the economic agreement would be close to closing. The idea is to offer a contract valid for four seasons for the player who is linked to the Chelsea until the end of 2021/22.

Carlo Ancelotti would have asked for the hiring of Rüdiger directly to the Merengue board, but the negotiation did not advance at first because of the salary requested by the defender. Despite this, none of those interested in hiring would have come close to the amount requested by the athlete, who had to lower his request. Thus, Real Madrid managed to advance and took the lead.
According to the newspaper “The Athletic”, Rüdiger’s salary at Chelsea is 6 million euros, around R$37 million a year, and he would be asking for 12 million euros, something around R$75 million, to be able to renew with the team. Without reaching an agreement, the London cube decided that it will not spend all that amount and has already dismissed the player.
In the current squad, Ancelotti already knows he cannot count on Vallejo as an option to assemble the merengue team, and because of that there are only three defenders of origin available in today’s scheme. Rüdiger, who stood out in the clashes between Real Madrid and Chelsea in the Champions League, would arrive in the team to give more versatility to the defense.
