INRatar – Nikita Turbavsky (Zarya)
In general, there is a correct principle – the team loses, therefore, each of its players also suffers a personal defeat. However, Turbaevsky, in our opinion, is the last person to whom one can raise the question of the “peasant derby” and even Sosa’s goal. On the contrary, Nikita, with his bright saves, kept the intrigue in this confrontation until the last, although, objectively speaking, without his seven goals saved, everything in this match would have been decided earlier. Turbaevsky withstood the blows of Amoroso, Ilic, Mikitishin, Kozhushko and the same Sosa. Some of them are absolutely killer.
PrFirst defender – Ilya Putrya (LNZ Cherkasy)
In the match against Ingulets, LNZ’s high-speed flanks left a vivid impression. Moreover, to an equal extent, because Topalov also worked very well in terms of attack (other skills as a linear winger, of course, still need to be improved). After his serve, Yashari struck, and Putrya managed to finish and opened the scoring. After the break, Ilya himself shot at the opponents’ goal, and scored again after the fuss (Nonikashvili’s discount led to a small “fire”, which Putrya successfully took advantage of). A double from the LNZ newcomer brought the team victory even with a missed penalty – both theirs and the opponent’s.
TseCentral defender – Jean Pedrozu (Karpaty)
The Lviv derby ended in victory for the Carpathians – and it was achieved by the Brazilian defender Pedroso (an older newcomer from Curitiba). It was Jean who successfully took a free kick from Miroshnichenko and sent the only goal in this match into Rukh’s goal. In addition, Pedroso played quite well in defense, complementing the duo with Moldova national team defender Baboglo. If Vladislav worked more in grassroots martial arts, then Jean worked more in horse martial arts. In addition, Pedrosa was noted for his density, blocking a number of shots from the home team.
TseCentral defender – Semyon Vovchenko (Veres)
In general, the Odessa match started hard for Vovchenko – especially regarding the play of Petryak, whom the Rivne defense “lost” every now and then. In the first moment, Semyon lost the aerial battle and Chernomorets’ winger shot from the left corner of the goalkeeper’s box, in the second, Ivan “unstuck” from Veres’ defender and shot from the goalkeeper’s right edge, so that Morozko cut into his own goal. But just as Veres calmed down after the “stormy” start, Vovchenko gradually began to win the fight more and more and act on interceptions, tackles and rebounds. What Goda or Dakhnovsky failed to do, after a throw-in and rebound, Semyon accomplished – he simply shot through the goal and saved the Rivne team from an away defeat.
Lefirst defender – Pedro Enrique (Shakhtar)
In the reporting round, three right-backs played at a high level, but on the opposite flank, mainly full-backs did not perform flawlessly. However, among others, I would like to mention Pedro Enrique (before the old Pedrinho returned, he asked to be called Pedrinho, but now he has changed his gaming name). Pedro, first of all, had a difficult confrontation with the Veleten-Tsurikov team – and if at first he lost to them, then over time he adjusted his work and won this difficult duel. As a defender-player, Enrique worked well in duels and defensive duels in space – he won a lot of balls on interceptions, rebounds and duels. In the end, Pedro Enrique became a participant in the episode in which fellow countryman Diego Santos from Colos stopped him with the go-ahead signal and began a scoring combination that ended with Hemp’s own goal. However, the referee, taking into account the foul against the defender in the initial phase, did not count the goal.
Tsecentral midfielder – Vladimir Brazhko (Dynamo)
Not only did he carry out a large amount of work in the center of the field, but he was also a leading passer – it was after the pass from Brazhko that Vanat could open the scoring immediately in the debut. But during the first effective attack, it was Vladimir who launched Vladislav into free space, after whose pass the ball ricocheted to Shaparenko. Vanat scored the third goal against Obolon after a subtle pass from Brazhko. And the fifth – after Vladimir’s long-range strike after Shaparenko’s pass. Brazhko performed all these attacking actions without loss of quality in the direct work of the defensive midfielder, because he won most of the combats and carried out high-quality passing at different distances.
PrFirst midfielder – Alexander Karavaev (Dynamo)
It’s nice to see with what passion and immersion in the game Karavaev acted in his main position as a right midfielder. Even in the first half, the speedy winger could score himself, hitting the outside of the net, and served the center forward well, raising his serve well from the flank to Vanat. But immediately after the break, Alexander scored with a good shot after a timely transfer of the ball from Kabaev. It is quite possible that injuries and playing problems of competitors will allow Karavaev to return to his favorite spot on the field, well, at least in the domestic arena for sure.
Atoffensive midfielder – Georgiy Sudakov (Shakhtar)
The entire first round of the Ukrainian championship this season takes place in high-quality correspondence competition between the two most status players of the UPL – and Georgy Sudakov and Nikolay Shaparenko operate on a round-by-round level. We prefer Sudakov, because his role in the difficult match in Kovalevka was more important – in terms of the design of the game, even decisive. Even before the break, Georgiy aimed at Pakholyuk’s goal, and in the second half he and Zubkov launched a quick attack from the depths of the field, which he was ready to finish with a backheel pass, but the Kosovar Krasniqi cut the ball into his own goal.
Lefirst midfielder – Alexander Belyaev (FC Alexandria)
At one time in Dnipro, Dnipro-1 and the Turkish Genclerbirliga, the former midfielder of the Ukrainian youth team showed great promise, and now Rotanya Belyaev is already an old and experienced player next to the youth. In the match with Vorskla, he took part in a combination game from the first minutes; after his diagonal, Kozak struck the first more or less dangerous blow of the match. Before the break, Alexander himself moved in with a good shot, and after a rest he crossed well – but the active Bezerra slightly missed the ball. But when Kravchenko served softly from the right flank, Belyaev – far from the tallest on the field – capped his serve with his head. This goal brought the Alexandrians their second minimal victory over Vorskla this year, and also continued their stay in second place.
Onfalling – Vladislav Vanat (Dynamo)
Vanat faced a lot of criticism in 2024, despite being the top scorer of the last championship and memorable performances in matches against Partizan, Rangers and RB Salzburg. But in the match with Obolon, Vladislav played exactly as the experts, press and fans demanded of him in their expectations. It was after his cross that the ball bounced to Shaparenko, who opened the scoring in the capital’s derby. Then he earned and converted a penalty, and also made a successful start to Brazhko’s penetrating pass, scoring a double.
Onfalling – Daniel Sosa (Krivbass)
The Niger national team striker played a great match against Zorya. Sosa shot at the Lugansk team in the first half, and after the break he produced a real extravaganza. First, after a throw from Ilic, he squeezed through the opponent on the left flank, jumped out at the goalkeeper and masterfully shot into the far corner – this goal, running ahead, turned out to be the winning goal. Later he hit the post himself and managed to redirect the ball to Amoroso, and Matteo Marciovic hit the crossbar. In total, he hit the “men” goal six times and shook the goal frame twice.

All calculations – Artur Valerko, SportArena.com
On the eve of a difficult away match against Roma and the all-Ukrainian classic, Dynamo tested an attacking model in the Kiev derby – 15 shots, 8 of which were on target, a noticeable advantage in ball possession and, at the same time, a bright game from the leaders. This is Dynamo’s third victory in a row in the Ukrainian championship, two of them are devastating, the unbeaten streak of Shovkovsky’s team in the domestic arena is 11 matches and stretches back to the May defeat from Shakhtar in the UPL of the 2023/24 season.
- Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – Here.
Not a single player from the bench was able to prove himself in this round in such a way as to turn the tide of the match, take part in a scoring combination or have a decisive influence on the course of events.
This is Matteo Marciovic’s fifth match in the Ukrainian Championship, and now we see that the successor of the Brazilian-Italian football dynasty really has prospects in the UPL. In the match with Zarya, he played brightly in the center of the field, actively helped striker Sosa and himself shot several times at Turbaevsky’s goal – including shaking Zarya’s crossbar. It is clear that the 21-year-old midfielder is only gaining momentum, so our nomination is an advance for Amoroso Jr.’s further success.
- SportArena statistics: 5 matches in the championship.
We do not undertake to say that the player of the Niger national team of Ghanaian origin knows how important the match against Zorya is for his head coach and when Lugansk football players began to be called “men.” However, it was against this opponent that Sosa played his top match of the new season, definitely making Vernidub happy.
- SportArena statistics: 8 league matches, 2 goals.
This is not the most spectacular round in terms of the brightness of goals, but you can choose between the accurate shots of Brazhko and Karavaev. We prefer Alexander, who planted the ball into the top corner after a successful cross pass from Kabaev. The goal can be seen on video from 5:36.
- SportArena statistics: 3 matches in the championship, 2 goals.
The right lineman, in sync with his colleague from the opposite flank Topalov, pretty much “ironed” his counterparts from Ingulets and distinguished himself in front. It was Putrya who sealed the difficult victory for LNZ with his brace.
- SportArena statistics: 10 league matches, 2 goals, 1 assist.
