The Citizens’ mentor does not yet know when Kevin will be able to return to duty
Head coach Manchester City Pep Guardiola said that the midfielder Kevin De Bruyne will play after he fully recovers and gets into shape.
“It’s not a big problem, but we want Kevin to be 100% ready. I can’t say how long he’ll be gone… I don’t know. It will probably take some time,” the mentor said.
De Bruyne has been in Manchester City hospital since September with a thigh injury. Earlier, the midfielder asked Belgium national team coach Domenico Tedesco not to call him up for the Nations League matches in October.
This season, Kevin has played 6 matches for Manchester City in all competitions. The midfielder scored one goal and gave one assist.
Manchester City is in second place in the Premier League, one point behind leader Liverpool. In the next match, the Citizens will host Sparta on October 23 in the Champions League.
