Blancos were down 0-2 after the first half, but scored five goals in the second
Madrid Real won a strong-willed victory over Borussia D in the third round Champions League 2024/25 – 5:2.
Dortmund shocked the hosts in the middle of the first half. Donyell Malen scored and four minutes later assisted Jamie Bynoe-Gittens to give the visitors a two-goal lead at the break.
Real managed to come back for a short period of time in the second half. Antonio Rudiger reduced the deficit, and three minutes later Vinicius Junior equalized. Towards the end of the meeting, Lucas Vazquez scored the third goal for Blancos. Vinicius completed the rout with a hat-trick.
Real have six points and are in 11th place in the overall Champions League table. Borussia, which also has six points, is in sixth place.
In the next round of the Champions League, Real will host Milan on November 5. Borussia Dortmund will play at home against Austrian Sturm on the same day.
