Sudakov: We deserved at least one goal scored here

Miners in London suffered minimal defeat

Midfielder Shakhtar Georgy Sudakov after the match with Arsenal (0:1) in the Champions League, he expressed regret about the final result of the meeting. The Ukrainian admitted that the second half should be considered an asset for Shakhtar.

“The first half was very difficult for our team. There was a certain atmosphere, there was a sense of pressure, in an away game against an incredibly strong team, helping your opponent. Arsenal are probably one of the strongest teams in Europe, even in the whole world.”

“We conceded in the first half, the opponent still had chances, but we also tried to play well and created our own chances. In the second half, I think we played… Maybe not very well, but we played it in such a way that we could be proud of it. We wanted to score, we tried, we created our own chances. I think we deserved at least one goal scored here.”

“The experience here is incredible. This is how I would like to play every week. Enjoy the moment. It’s incredible – I’m really glad it happened.”

“Progress to the next stage? We are working on this. We believe in this. We become stronger from game to game. We’ll see how things turn out in the future; it’s hard to think ahead.”

Shakhtar has “0” in the “goals scored” column after three group stage matches. Marino Pusic’s team is in 29th place with one point.

In the next round of the Champions League, Shakhtar will play Young Boys. The meeting will take place on November 6.
