Chelsea boss expects Mudryk to continue his progress
Head coach Chelsea Enzo Maresca commented on the absence of the Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudrik in the team’s application for the last match with Liverpool (1:2).
“I excluded Mudryk from the squad before the match with Liverpool solely for technical reasons. When will Misha realize his potential? I don’t know. We try to work with him every day, and we hope that with us he will become better and better every day.”
It was previously reported that Mudryk wants to leave the club in order to gain stable playing experience. There was information that Marseille is showing interest in the Ukrainian and wants to rent the winger in the winter transfer window. The Provençal club is headed by Roberto De Zerbi, who previously worked with Mudryk at Shakhtar.
This season, Mikhail has played eight matches for Chelsea in all competitions. The winger scored three assists in them.
Chelsea will play their next match on October 24 against Panathinaikos in the Conference League. After which, on October 27 in the Premier League, Enzo Maresca’s charges will host Newcastle at home.
