Mudryk’s goal and two assists helped Chelsea defeat Panathinaikos away in the Conference League

The Ukrainian winger played his best match this season

The second round match took place in Athens Conference League 2024/25Chelsea won a crushing victory over Panathinaikos with a score of 4:1.

Ukrainian Chelsea winger Mikhail Mudryk entered the starting lineup and became one of the main characters on the field. In the middle of the first half, Mudryk made his first effective action – he rolled the ball under the shot of João Felix, who only had to send it into the net from the goal line.

In the opening of the second half, the Ukrainian distinguished himself – Pedro Neto delivered a great cross from the right flank, and the onrushing Mudryk calmly scored his first goal this season. In the 55th minute, Mikhail showed himself again, assisting the same João Felix for the third goal.

Soon, Christopher Nkunku converted a penalty, and the hosts scored a prestige goal, scored by Uruguayan winger Facundo Pelistri.

As a result, a convincing victory for Chelsea, which took the lead in the overall standings of the tournament. Panathinaikos remains with only one point, which it scored in the opening round against Bosnian Borac.

Chelsea will play their next match in the Conference League on November 7 against Noah from Armenia. Panathinaikos will face the Danish Djurgarden on the same day.
