The midfielder’s salary will increase to 2.8-3 million euros per season
Milan working on a contract extension with the midfielder Tijani Reynders.
Currently, the Dutch midfielder’s salary is 1.8 million euros per season, but under the new agreement it should increase to 2.8-3 million. The contract itself should be extended for one season – until the summer of 2029.
Reynders moved to Milan in the summer of 2023 from AZ Alkmaar for €19 million. The player immediately won an unconditional place in the starting lineup of the Rossoneri – last season he played in 36 of the team’s 38 matches in Serie A.
This season, Reinders played 11 matches for Milan in all tournaments, recording 2 goals and 1 assist.
The 26-year-old midfielder was nominated for the title of the best player of the last week of the Champions League, but in the end the victory was won by Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior. Reynders instead made the all-star team for the third round of the tournament.
Milan will play their next match on October 29 at home against Napoli. This round’s away match against Bologna was postponed due to bad weather.
