Igor Surkis revealed the details of the midfielder’s domestic injury.
Dynamo President Igor Surkis explained in detail why midfielder Nikolai Shaparenko did not enter the field in the 11th round match of the Ukrainian Premier League with Shakhtar (1:1).
The midfielder spent the entire game on the bench, and the head coach of the Kyiv team, Alexander Shovkovsky, said that the player had a domestic injury.
After the match, the president of the “white-blues” clarified that the player literally cut his shoulder on the glass doors before the match.
“We had a tragedy with Shaparenko. Four or five hours before the match, he cut his shoulder with a glass door, and the glass fell on him, so he didn’t play today.
We could have been more creative in the middle of the field, but I liked the guys who came out. Got in the mood, they played the way they were supposed to play.
Just yesterday at two o’clock we arrived at the base, and all this time the men were recuperating. It’s difficult, but everyone is in those conditions,” Surkis said in a commentary on PROFOOTBALL Digital.
We remind you that Dynamo’s main centerback was injured in the game against Shakhtar.
