The Ukrainian took 29th place in the voting for the best football player of the year
Forward for Roma and the Ukrainian national team Artem Dovbik arrived at the award ceremony Ballon d’Or 2024which takes place in Paris.
The Ukrainian appeared on the red carpet following his teammate Mats Hummels. Let us remind you that today Dovbik and Hummels flew to Paris to represent Roma at the awards ceremony for the prestigious award. Both Roma players shared 29th place in the voting.
Another Ukrainian was supposed to arrive in the French capital – Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrei Lunin, who received a nomination for the prize for the best goalkeeper of the year. However, today the Madrid club canceled the visit of its delegation to the ceremony. Blancos are believed to have learned that winger Vinicius Junior, considered a top contender for the award, will not receive the Ballon d’Or tonight.
Let us remind you that Dovbik spent last season in Girona. Artem became the best goalscorer of Examples with 24 goals, and also made 10 assists. Girona sensationally finished in the top 3 and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in history, and the Ukrainian forward was recognized as the best player of the Catalan team of the season.
The ceremony at which the 2024 Ballon d’Or winners will be awarded takes place today, October 28. The event will traditionally take place at the Chatelet Theater in Paris.
