The Portuguese is expected to return to the field on November 24 in the match against Southampton
Forward Liverpool’s Diogo Jota dropped out before the end of the November international break for national team matches.
The 27-year-old Portuguese suffered a rib injury in the match against Chelsea (2:1), which took place on October 20. Since then, Zhota has missed two matches, and the extent of his injury has been clarified.
Thus, the forward will miss the English League Cup game against Brighton (October 30), two Premier League matches (November 2 with Brighton and Aston Villa on November 9), and the Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, which will take place on November 5. Jota will also not be able to help the Portuguese national team in the upcoming Nations League matches against Poland (November 15) and Croatia (November 18).
Diogo Jota’s return to the field is expected on November 24 in the confrontation with Southampton.
This season, the Portuguese forward played 10 matches in all tournaments, scoring 4 goals and 2 assists.
Liverpool will play their next match tomorrow, October 30, away against Brighton in the 1/8 finals of the English League Cup.
