Podolia announced the appointment Sergei Kovalets to the post of head coach of the team.
The 56-year-old specialist will begin work on November 1. In this position, Kovalets replaced Vitaly Kostyshin, who resigned after the game before last round against Minaya (0:1).
Kovalets’s last place of work was Inhulets, which he left during the second part of the 2022/23 season. Also, throughout his career, the specialist headed Obolon, Alexandria, Lvov, Chernomorets and a number of other clubs.
In 11 matches this season, Podolia won only one victory. He scored 7 points, the natural result of which was to remain in the penultimate seventh position in the standings of Group A of the First League.
Podolia will hold its next match on November 3 – the Khmelnitsky team led by Sergei Kovalets will face the leader of their group, Agribusiness.
