Stefano Pioli’s team couldn’t cope with Al-Taawoun at home
1/8 final match Saudi Cup ended with a sensation – Al Nasr was defeated at home by Al-Taawuna (0:1).
The only goal of the match was scored in the 71st minute – Flavio scored from a pass from ex-Getafe player Faisal Fajr.
Al-Nasr had a chance to send the game into extra time, but in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Cristiano Ronaldo missed the penalty, shooting over the goal.
In the remaining pairs there were no sensations – all the main favorites in the person of Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, Al-Qadisiya and Al-Shabab advanced to the 1/4 finals of the Saudi Cup.
Al Nasr will play their next match on Friday, November 1st. Stefano Pioli’s team will play the central match of the 9th round of the Saudi Arabian championship against Al-Hilal.
