The “yellow-blacks” became stronger in the Lviv derby.

As part of the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup, the second Lviv derby in the past week took place between Rukh and Karpaty.

Unlike the previous match, in today’s game the “yellow-red” acted more confidently, which is why the “Lions” goalkeeper Alexander Kemkin had to enter the game more often.

Already in the 4th minute, Kemkin made a great save, saving his team from almost 100% of the goal conceded after a shot by Igor Krasnopir.

After that, Alexander’s work did not become less, because in general, in the first half of the meeting, Rukh acted more sharply.

In the second half, the game ended somewhat, Karpaty began to act more confidently in defense and “test” Dmitry Ledviy more often, however, it did not help to escape from the missed goal.

In the 83rd minute, Denis Pidgursky powerfully hit the bottom corner of the goal from 25 meters after a funny bounce from a Karpaty player. It seemed to be far from the most dangerous moment of the match which turned out to be the only scoring done by the players of both teams.

In the last moments of the game, the Carpathians attacked the gate of Ledviya, but Rukh was able to resist this attack, acting strictly in defense.
