Forward BC Dnepr Alexander Tarasenko suffered a torn cruciate ligament in the victorious match of the third round FIBA European Cup against Portuguese Sporting (78:70).

The club reported that doctors diagnosed Tarasenko with a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and stage 3 medial meniscus damage.

In the near future, Tarasenko will undergo surgery to restore the ligaments and the forward will begin the rehabilitation process.
