The Panamanian forward made his debut goal for Dynamo in the match with Vorskla
Panamanian forward Dynamo Eduardo Guerrero shared his emotions after his debut goal for the Kiev team in the match with Vorskla (2:1) in Ukrainian Cup.
“I feel much better now because I couldn’t score a goal for many matches, and for a striker that’s important.”
“The start of the match was difficult for us and in the end we conceded a goal. Cup games are often like that, especially when you play a relegation match away from home. Moreover, against a team that defends very tightly and is looking for its chances.”
“We decided everything before the game. Andrievsky told me that if we earn a penalty, I will be the one to take the penalty kick. This gave me confidence in the match as a whole. When we earned a penalty, I felt calm before the shot. We prepared for different scenarios, including a penalty shootout.”
“Of course, an intense schedule adds to fatigue, because we spend a lot of time on the road and have little time to rest. But I don’t regret it, it’s my job.”
Guerrero equalized the score in the match against Vorskla, converting a penalty in the first half. The main time of the match ended in a draw. In overtime, the Kiev team snatched victory thanks to a goal by Vladislav Vanat.
Eduardo became a Dynamo player in early September, moving from Zarya. The match with Vorskla was the tenth for the Panamanian as part of the Kiev team in all tournaments.
Dynamo will meet with Ingulets in the next match. The match of the 12th round of the UPL will take place in Kyiv on November 3.
