Porto shows interest in Lunin and is ready to offer Real Madrid 20 million euros for his transfer – media

Porto sees the Ukrainian goalkeeper as a potential replacement for Diogo Costa

Porto shows interest in the Ukrainian goalkeeper Real to Andrey Lunin. For the transfer of the Ukrainian, Porto can offer Blancos an amount of 20 million euros in the next summer transfer window.

Porto have reportedly begun work to find a potential replacement for first-choice goalkeeper Diogo Costa, who will be difficult to keep at the club next summer. A number of clubs from England, Italy and France are showing interest in Costa, and Porto intends to request a sum of 60 million euros for his transfer.

After Lunin’s successful play last season, the media reported offers to Andrei from Manchester United, Bayern and PSG (the Parisians were allegedly ready to pay 18 million euros for the goalkeeper). Chelsea was considering paying 12 million euros for Lunin and returning Kepa Arrizabalaga to the Madrid club.

Representatives of Atletico Madrid, Betis, Juventus, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Newcastle also got in touch with Real Madrid. The latter two were reportedly ready to pay 25 million euros for the Ukrainian. Manchester City also considered the Ukrainian as an alternative to Ederson.

In September, the Ukrainian officially extended his contract with Real Madrid. The new agreement runs until 2030.

This season, Andrei has appeared on the field three times wearing a Madrid club jersey. Lunin kept one clean sheet, but the Ukrainian also played in Real Madrid’s disastrous match with Barcelona (0:4).

Porto will play its next match today, October 31, in the quarter finals of the Portuguese League Cup against Moreirense. Real, in turn, will play in the Champions League against Milan on November 5 – the Blancos’ match in the 12th round of La Liga against Valencia was postponed.
