Vorskla dropped out of the Ukrainian Cup, losing to Dynamo in overtime
Midfielder Vorskla Artem Chelyadin commented on the home defeat in overtime against Dynamo (1:2) in the 1/8 finals Ukrainian Cup.
“We felt that we could put the squeeze on Dynamo. We played a good match, but a good match needs to be sealed with a good result, and it was negative. That’s why defeat is painful.”
“We didn’t sit down, tried to put pressure on Dynamo, took the balls, attacked. I think we played well, we just made mistakes. But everyone makes mistakes. In the case of both goals, it was possible not to let the situation lead to our goal being scored.”
“The fans after the match said that we were all great. And the fans are our main criterion. If they like the way we play, then we’re on the right track.”
The main time of the Vorskla – Dynamo match ended in a 1:1 draw – the Kievans responded to Samson Iede’s goal with a precise shot from Eduardo Guerrero. Already in overtime, the victory for the white and blue was brought by a goal from Vladislav Vanat.
Yuri Maximov’s team will play its next match in the UPL – on November 3 it will host Kolos at home.
