The coach of the Roman team spoke about the condition of the Ukrainian striker.
Roma head coach Ivan Jurich explained why Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik could not participate in the 10th round of the Serie A match against Torino.
The Giallorossi won a minimal 1:0 victory in this match, and the Ukrainian was not included in the team’s roster for the first time this season.
According to Roma’s coach, Dovbik was forced to miss the game due to illness.
“Dovbik had a viral illness, I hope he recovers on Sunday against Torino, we tried to play a false nine, but the most important thing is that everything is recovered,” Jurich was quoted as saying by the official Wolves website.
On Sunday, November 3, Roma will play an away match in the 11th round of Serie A against Verona.
This season, Dovbik played 12 matches for the Romans in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
Previously, Dovbik appreciated his participation in the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony.
