Triple Russian champion with Spartak Viktor Bulatov shared his expectations for the upcoming match of the 14th round of the MIR RPL between the “red and whites” and CSKA.
The match will take place on Saturday, November 2 at the VEB Arena military stadium and will start at 8:45 p.m. Moscow time.
— Spartak certainly won’t be able to play defensively. Stankovic, as far as I know, is still a supporter of attacking football. There will be a game on a collision course. CSKA will try to take advantage of the free zones that Spartak will leave by playing in attack. There will be goals, the match will have to be spectacular. I’m more worried about Spartak. The main thing is that there is no hesitation on the part of Stankovic on the composition.
— Do you think Stankovic is abusing his tactics?
– Of course he’s exaggerating. In my opinion, after the disastrous first round match against Orenburg, there were quite a few good matches that inspired optimism among the fans. Then Stankovic began to look for the good from the good, the rearrangements were somehow incomprehensible. Ugalde began to play as a left midfielder, Barco – in the support zone with Umyarov, as in the match with Krasnodar, and the “bulls” passed through the support zone like a knife through butter. And Abenu is not yet ready to let go at first. There is a lot of hesitation and research. This doesn’t lead to anything good.
— If Stankovic loses against CSKA, can we say that it is a death sentence for his prospects at Spartak? Or should we give it a chance?
“It’s a game that certainly won’t fundamentally affect any kind of theoretical, hypothetical resignation. Of course, the scales could tip towards even greater disappointment or, conversely, towards a return to optimism. That is, there will of course be no cardinal decisions here,” Bulatov said, as quoted by Metaratings.ru.
