Alexandria – Polesie. Rotan has a record unbeaten streak in his career, Ashur is one step away from repeating the club record

The last time Alexandria lost was on April 21

November 3 in the central match of the 12th round of the UPL Alexandria will play with Polesie. The teams are approaching the match undefeated in the Ukrainian Championship 2024/2025. At the same time, the head coach of Alexandria Ruslana Rotanya – a record unbeaten streak in her careerand Polesie coach Imad Ashur is one step away from repeating the club record.

Alexandria has not lost in domestic tournaments for 16 matches – since April 21, when it lost to LNZ at home in the 25th round of the 2023/2024 championship. In the 196 days that have passed since that match, Ruslan Rotan has played 16 matches at the helm of the team: 15 in the UPL, one in the Cup. Alexandria won 11 matches (one in the Cup), five ended in a draw.

16 matches without defeat is a record streak in Ruslan Rotan’s coaching career. Before this specialist, there were two seven-match unbeaten stretches with the country’s youth and Olympic teams, however, taking into account friendly matches.

Imad Ashur from Polesie has not lost for 11 matches in a row, after a failure with Olimpia in the Conference League qualification. The Zhytomyr team played 10 matches in the championship and one in the Cup. If Polesie does not lose to Alexandria today, then Ashur will repeat the Polesie club record in the UPL, set last season by Yuri Kalitvintsev – 11 matches without defeat.

True, it is worth noting that Ashur has already surpassed his predecessor: Kalitvintsev had five wins in 11 matches, and the current Wolves helmsman had six in 10 meetings.
