The Ukrainian scored for the sixth time this season, but his team still can’t get out of the crisis
Roma lost Veronoelosing the score three times during the away match of the 11th round Serie A – 2:3.
The match is not easy for the capital team. In the first half, the Mastiffs took the lead twice (Kasper Tengstedt, Giangiacomo Magnani), the Romans equalized once (Matthias Sule), but went into the break in the role of catching up.
In the opening of the second half, it was time for Roma’s Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbik. During a quick attack, the Ukrainian literally from a meter away, playing ahead of the curve, brought the ball into the goal after Zeki Celik’s cross. This goal was Artem’s sixth in 13 matches of the season (with one assist). In Serie A, the striker scored for the fourth time – and for the first time since the beginning of October, when he scored at Monza (1:1).
A victory could have allowed Roma to rise to 8th place, but in the end the team did not even hold on to a draw – the victory was brought to the hosts by substitutes Rocha Livramento and Abdu Harroui.
The capital team with 13 points remained 11th in the table. Verona is one place and one point behind.
Ivan Juric’s team won only one match out of the last five in the championship. The Giallorossi will play away against Belgian Union in the Europa League on November 7, and three days later they will host Bologna in Serie A.
